About the Artwork
The mundanity of life during lockdown affected Anant greatly. As the new reality settled in, he saw his professional and personal spaces merge into the comfortable setting of his home. His bedroom turned into his office, gym and smoking room. And while he was dealing with the uncertainty of how long he might have to deal with this way of life - fighting anxiety and having no social life, one thing that kept him going was having a little cry every now and then.
About the Artist
Anant Ahuja is a creative entrepreneur, based in India. His expertise lie in the field of strategy, branding, building alternative infrastructure for cultural production, and creative direction. Over the course of the last nine years, he has helped brands perform better through culturally rooted views and generational narrative. He is a multidisciplinary designer with experience in art direction, cultural production, brand strategy, and identity design. He has had the opportunity to work with some of the world's biggest brands like Airbnb, Uber, Google Mountain View, Snapchat, Diageo, Bloomberg Philanthropies, Times Internet to name a few. He loves working with organisations that build and scale, by blurring lines between design, strategy, art & technology. In March, 2020 he was recognised by Forbes 30under30, Asia, honouree, for his contribution in the field of Art & Design. He is the co-founder & CEO of Irregulars Alliance LLP, which is the parent company of The Irregulars Art Fair, This Side Up & Marked on CC. He has also co-founded Bakheda Co and served as the Managing Director for the Indian operations of the same.
